Answer: If you run a business from HOME, it is based wherever HOME is. If your business is located in Indiana, you need to file an Indiana tax return.

Question: Can you get scammed using paypal?

I applied to work for an at-Home Business called data hippos. They asked my to send them $12.00 using paypal for a training package, which I would receive by e-mail. I never used paypal before, do I have to give my bank account info using paypal? If so, is there any guarantee that no more than $12 dollars will be deducted by data hippos and this company won't wipe out my account?

Answer: Paypal is a reputable service. It takes a while to set up an account, so I would suggest get started on that now. If you send someone $12 using paypal, they can't increase it or get sensitive information about you. https://www.paypal.com/

What I am concerned about is the data hippos. What do you know about them? I can't even find anything on them on line. Are they reputable? Most really reputable businesses don't ask you for money to train you, so I would be careful.
