I started an online business last year for a membership site that helps people find legitimate work from home jobs. Basically what we do is aggregate, screen, review, and post the legitmate jobs that are already on the internet saving the job searcher time and money. There are many scams associated with this type of work and we provide a clean service to help people find the real jobs.

Answer: you should have free membership for a short amount of time THEN as you gain credentials, have people pay.

You always have to make sacrifices in the begining to get your name out there. I have a recording studio that I currently charge only $100 a month for the ENTIRE month. most people charge up to $300 for 8hr of time. Its a sacrifice to get my name out and as I upgrade and get credentials I will up my price

Question: Do I need a license or degree to provide accounting services??

I am currently in the process of completing my Bachelor's in Accounting. I would like to start my Home Based Business for bookeeping, taxes, payroll etc. In the state of Florida, is it REQUIRED to have the degree or license. I know I will have more clientel once I graduate, but for now I have about 20 customers for taxes and would like to start my business.
I know that once I graduate, more people will confide in my services. For now I just want to be informed about wether or not I need a license...thanx.

Answer: You don't need a degree or certification to keep books or do taxes or payroll. You only need them if you're auditing books, and certifying the results of your audit. And if you're doing the audit under the supervision of someone who's already a CPA, you don't even need them then.

Question: Attention Businessmen and Entrepreneurs...?

What can you advice to someone like me who has no business background at all (Only guts and confidence) and wants to put up a Home-based call center teaching English as a Second Language? My occupation is an english teacher and I am teaching asian students (Korean,japanese and chinese). How can I start? It requires no big investments but what should I do as a novice in this field?
