Home Business Bug

home business bug
Question: Geeks where are you? how can i detect a bug in my home?

i am talking like survailance (sp?) ones that are like hidden inside walls and such you know like hidden in fake coins or outlets and such. is one able to do this without hiring a professional? is there a tool that can be bought similar to a metal detector that will do this for someone? you can like scan your home and it will "beep beep beep" til you hunt down the source? This way you know if someone is listening in when you are trying to have a secret business deal you don't want to be stolen for example or if there are hidden cams in your home by nosy neighbors.
can you make one out of your computer? or is there software you can insert and move your computer around the room that will enable this?
guy are saying i can MENTALLY scan my home?
mc- highly unlikely considering we live next to D.C. if you know what i mean?

Answer: They make some commercial bug sweepers, but I doubt you could actually make one out of your computer.

Home Based Business Travel Agent

Question: Is Home-based Travel Agents Business safe?

I cant find any in-office travel agent jobs is a home-based travel agent business safe? Also, how much time does it take up?

Answer: I do know a lot of people who have home based businesses in several different industries from telecommunications to travel. The ones that are in travel businesses DO make a good income, depsite what Ed says. He may not of made money, but you can if you put the right type of effort into things and follow people who have succeeded in this industry and not by others who have failed in business. There's a great article you should read on home based business opportunities. I think it will answer your detailed message in full details. A lot of great information on it, things to do and not to do. It's aimed for general home based businesses, not pointed out to a direct industry. But there are a list of over half a dozen different industries and travel agents are on there. You could probably contact one to ask them questions on how much time it takes and what not.
Good Luck!

Home Business Forms

Question: Is it worth claiming $4000 in expenses for a home based business when revenue was only $150? ?

My wife started a home based photography business but only had $150 in revenue. Does anyone know if I can state these on my tax forms, or I am wasting my time since there is little or no revenue?

Answer: You should be able to deduct business expenses from a home-based business as long as they directly relate to that business. So, yes you should state both the revenue and expenses on your tax forms to claim your deductions. If you expect increased revenue over time, you can do this. If you really don't expect anything more than $150 per year, you will likely have your deductions kicked out since the IRS will consider this a hobby not a business. Depends on your situation, but yes, those expenses can be deducted. Just fill out the business revenue/expense forms with your return.
