Question: Write Off expenses for home office?
I am starting up my business in the next few months, however my dilema is that my soon to be home office is need of some renovation work, now I have been told that I have to wait until I register my business before I can write off any of material that I purchase to do this.
Is this true? or If I keep the recepits can I still use them after I register my business?
Please help..
BTW I'm in Ontario, Canada
Answer: The business must legally "exist" BEFORE it can legitimately incur expenses against which income can be written off.
