Home Business Franchise Opportunities

home business franchise opportunities
Question: I'm looking for a Home Business. Something reputable, something with a good system to follow... Any insights?

I've tried a number of Home Businesses in the past, but am seriously looking for a good one now... With the crap hitting the ceiling with jobs and all - it's time to take the bull by the horns and make something happen for myself with alternative income streams. And, I have learned over the years that whatever I do, requires to have a real system in place so I can just plug into it. I don't have time to waste setting up everything under the sky before I get going. And I was shocked to see that so many opportunities don't have this simple concept taken care of. I'm tired of looking and looking.

Does anyone have any experience with any successful home based businesses? I want something plug and play.. a nice franchise type Home Business

And guys, a real business that makes a real income (I'm looking for at least $250K my 1st year) does require start up capital and work - I get that - PLEASE don't suggest to me any "mickey mouse" businesses.

Answer: Gadget Queen,

I have to start by saying "good for you" for making the decision to keep on keeping on, even though you've "tried a number of Home Businesses in the past". I've been in Direct Sales / network marketing for the past 6 years, and absolutely LOVE it! I have to agree with all you say about having a system in place where you can "plug and play". Why re-invent the wheel? And there is a lot of "fluff" out there ;)

As for insights, let's see... Find an opportunity where there's a marketing system in place, because without quality leads / prospective customers, you've got nothing.... You also want to make sure there is something in place where you can leverage your time - again, the marketing system comes into play here. You have to have training and support available, and I'm talking about REAL PEOPLE! These automated systems are great, but where do you turn to for support? And there must be something in place where you can leverage your money... people usually forget about that one... Here's the thing... I love what I do, but I don't plan on doing it forever... It's been 6 years, but I've taken months at a time off... You want to learn how to have your money start working for you - so that you're not always working for your money... and in my years in the industry - I've only found one place to do that... Feel free to contact me via my website for more info.

Home Business Taxes

Question: How do I pay taxes for my home-based freelance business?

I've been trying to get my freelance graphic design business off the ground the past couple of months. I've finally started to make a little cash but I don't have any idea how to pay federal and state (KS) taxes. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Answer: You need a CPA. In the meantime, you should be setting aside money each month to go towards your taxes. The first year, you won't pay quarterly, but you will need to pay taxes when you file your taxes next year. A CPA will then figure out what you need to pay quarterly so that you don't have to pay all at once. A CPA will also know exactly what state forms/taxes need to be filed because each state is different.
