Home Based Business Liability Insurance

Question: In Gwinnett, cnty. GA. what are the laws re: insurance for janitorial services?
re: workmans compensation, self insurance, and general liability insurance for a small Home Based Business with 5 employees? how is and what affects the rate of insurance?
Answer: Workers comp: if you are not a corporation, the owner does not need wc coverage, but you do need it for the employees. The rate is about 19% of payroll. If you are a corporation, the owner needs it as well. GL is based either on payroll, or receipts, depending on the company you use. Most of 'em base it on payroll.
Most commercial clients won't hire you unless you have general liability and workers comp for your employees. Most residential clients don't care. If you're not a corporation, you're nuts if you have employees working for you - if one of them is killed in a car accident going from job a to job b, YOU PERSONALLY are responsible for the damages - you'll lose your house, your bank accounts, your car, and have your wages attached forever.

Home Based Business Ads

Question: Any EBAY-Home-Based-Business store owners out there?
Any Ebay-Small-Home-Based-Biz Store owners out there and IS IT WORKING for you?...or someone you know? I would like to know if it's really worth it. Tried to sell individual auctions but...not good. I believe I have 'good-to-unique' products & good photos. But I feel all I do is give eBay money. Is an actual eBay store a better way to go or will I just continue to make eBay richer?
I have items I just (today) put on Craigslist - Don't worry I'm not trying to sell here on 'Yahoo-Answers' this ad is only for locals in my town anyway - but - if you take a look and click the links you can see my ads and items are...not to brag...but pretty good stuff.

What do ya' think? I need some honest (yet kind) advice.
SOooo, should I invest time and (more) money - in an eBay Store?
(Please do not respond if are going to try & sell me an eBay program...I already have them!)
Answer: To make money on ebay you have to either sell alot of items at bargin prices, super market style with tiny profits, or sell more expensive items. If you're not making any sales, I would recommend going to ebay and look for items similar to yours. Do they have bids? If so, what are they doing that you are not? Is it your title, price, content, payment methods, etc. Good luck!!
